Lila could say cutting things, Jessica could scheme, Mandy could… I don’t know, give her cancer or something. OK, I just finished reading this very well-written and very tear-inducing book from the point of view of a teenage girl dying of cancer, up to and including the death. And it was horrible and I read it in the smallest possible increments so that it wouldn't make me as sad, not to mention scared of dying too. So I don't know why I laughed so hard at this. I suspect that it is because I am a horrible, horrible person. (That or the fact that we all know that Sweet Valley cancer is a very different animal to Earth cancer, so that might actually be possible.)
HEY BRUCE! *immediately goes to the wiki to check that his bird phobia is mentioned* I love that we all remember that he's afraid of birds but everyone in Sweet Valley forgot after the book ended.
… Except maybe that girl Tina, who was Rachel’s servant? We never figure out what happens to her or what kind of dirt Rachel had on her. Weird. Poor Tina.
But, on the upside, there was not even a mention of Elizabeth in this book. Lots of Lila and no Liz! That's how I like it! This may be the best book in the entire series, based on that alone.
Yeah, that's what I think. I bet Sweet Valley Cancer is like the flu or something. Definitely something you can catch.
Weird. Poor Tina. I *think* she was the interior designer, Mrs. Riels' daughter. But I don't know why she let Rachel boss her around, since she wasn't an employee or anything?
