This is my first post here, but I've been lurking for a while. I've just discovered a bagful of Sweet Valley Twins books so there will be more forthcoming.

Unicorner? That's hilarious! I love it.

And of course Winston could lead cheers! Winston is made of awesome! Not just the regular kind of awesome, but the crunchy sort you usually have to pay extra for.

I kinda wish Elizabeth had lost...

Me too. It would have been satisfying for her to learn that being an insufferable priss gets you no where.

It was the outfits that did it for me.

My gods, it's like Elizabeth's dark side *screechy violin music*

Loved the Orson Welles comment ^^

I think SVH did actually make a stab at continuity with Amy - she showed up halfway through the series and Liz was really excited to hear her best friend was returning - but Amy had gone all boy-crazy while away from Sweet Valley.

Yeah, now I'm wondering, seeing as SVH was the original series, did they introduce the character of Amy halfway through, then when they created SVT they added her in, or did they create her for SVT and then stuck her in SVH later? Intriguing.

I'd be interested to know that actually *is a Sweet Valley geek, evidently* but I guess it's one of those unexplained mysteries.

Interesting to note that here Todd seems to be a bright spark - good student, basketball, head of debate team, scout, good citizenship award… he peaked early. Like Orson Welles.

If Todd got really fat and became all reclusive I think the SVU books would fifty times more interesting.

That would have to occur after Elizabeth breaks up with him for daring to try to have sex with her. Apparently despite being with the boy since the age of twelve, she just wasn't ready.

Thinking about it, did Todd dump her?

"Grace mentions that Winston would be a better cheerleader than them. Wouldn’t that be hilarious?! But seriously, SV is hosting the cheerleading championships this year, so they have to be at least passable. Oh, and some cheerleading teams have both boys AND girls on them. Madness! That’ll never happen to the Boosters…."

Its true. It never will happen. Take that, foreshadowing!

So Jessica in this book actually starts off by being supportive of Elizabeth? Instead of calling her 'teachers pet' and plotting to win the title, cos we all know Jessie can't bear to be beaten by good ol' Liz(as proven in SVH when she changes her image, runs off with a cult, runs away from home etc etc...continue with the am drams Jess you will soon be a star). Maybe if she had of done her usual trickery Liz would have been less power hungry. Maybe Jess' support knocked her over the edge; i mean, c'mon, it's like a rare-once a lifetime event isn't it.

About Amy, roseability, she was initially introduced in SVH as Liz's old mate who had changed drastically in 4 years (yeah, right!) and then when SVT started they, for once, actually checked for continuity and had her as Liz's boring, dependable, not-as-starry-as-the-twins bestest buddy (who Jessica REALLY didn't like, esp in some books).
