As you know, Lois Waller is fat. Terribly, terribly fat. But did you also know that she’s a crybaby? Apparently it is so, because this book is called “Crybaby Lois.” I don’t know why the denizens of Sweet Valley don’t run her out of town. God.

I was watching Gilmore Girls this week and I had the sudden epiphany that Rory reminds me a lot of Liz. I really, really hate Rory.

Much like this book, Lois does not look fat at ALL on the cover of Lios Strikes Back. She doesn't even look "normal" - she looks slim.

Television Without Pity once had a shirt that said "Shut up, Rory." I wish I bought it.

Lois is not fat at all. She's person sized whereas Liz is a wee little leprechaun or something.

See I'm on the fence with Rory. I hated Chilton Rory, but kinda loved Yale Rory.

Ooh, I'm the opposite. Chilton Rory doesn't bother me quiiite as much, and I relate to her more (I went to a Chilton-esque school but I live in a really poor area & my family was financially struggling at the time). She's still annoying, but less so. Yale Rory drives me absolutely nuts, because she has the same bad traits but with more of Lorelai's aggression. I don't like Lorelai either. I hate them boooooth!

I want to know who's supervising the children as they create hellishly hot apple brew on a stovetop and use very sharp knives. I wasn't even allowed to make grilled cheese when I was in second grade. But then, I didn't have Pacific blue eyes, either.

I never understood how Lois could be fat because any pictures of her are totally not fat. And then I got all bummed cuz I AM fat and they couldn't make a character like me.

Also? Liz is a twat. Way back when, I thought she was the better of the twins but now I realize they're both first class bitches. I wish I could tell my 10 year old self this.

Poor Lois, and poor readers who accepted the idea that Lois was fat. LOL @ the Men In Tights reference! I used to love that movie, although I saw it again recently and it hadn't held up so well...
