Thank goodness I don't live in Sweet Valley.

I was friends with someone who had started kindergarten at the age of 6 and then repeated it, so she was 8 when we were in first grade together. I don't recall a single person making fun of her.

Mrs. Otis agrees to Liz’s plan (as if there were any question about that).
Why doesn't she just give up and let Liz teach the class? It would save time.

Cashman is an Italian name?

Of course, in Middle School, grades don't matter because the ghosties never bother keeping track of who is in which grade. Well, aside from the twins.

THIS WAS MY SECOND SWEET VALLEY BOOK AT AGE SIX!! I FUCKING LOVED THIS BOOK!

I mean at age six I did, not NOW. Sorry, I just got all excited and flustered. I must see if someone has done Caroline's Halloween Spell so I can pee my pants and CAPS all over the place...

As bad as I feel for the kid, Kisho might have saved himself a lot of harassment if he'd just said "English is my second language" instead of letting the kids speculate about his being stupid. Or, you know, if the TEACHER had tried to put a stop to the little bastards' teasing.
