Your enthusiasm for this book made me like the recap a lot more than I probably would have. Normally I find Senior Year so boring. Now I'm kind of rooting for Melissa.

However, a high school boy who likes The Philadelphia Story? I'm not buying that.

It's my favorite movie, but I'm 27 and female. :} Rebel Without A Cause would have made more sense.

Maybe I should have added that every Monday night he and his mom rent a classic movie together. So I can buy that he likes The Philadelphia Story since he was trained from a young age to appreciate old black and whites.

Wait, every Monday Aaron and his mom rent a movie, present tense? The same mom who abandoned him and moved across the country with her new boyfriend, causing raaaaaaaaage? Nice continuity there.

Ah! Never caught that one (because I missed that SVH book). Oh, ghostwriters. Yup, it's definitely present tense. Maybe his mom came back and all his rage went away. So far away that no one even remembers it or discusses it ever again.
