It had escaped me until I saw the cover...this was the first SVH book that I ever read.

And for some reason, I kept reading them.

The poor cat D:

Why is everyone in Sweet Valley so dumb? Except for Lila, of course. Is there something in the water? Actually, that would explain why Lila is not affected. She wouldn't drink regular tap water like everyone else!

OMG I never read this. Your recap is amazingly hilarious.

WTF Ned is a super douche, ugh.

Thank you! And Ned is so unbelievably douchey in this book. He constantly amazes me with his ability to be a shitty parent.

Thank you so much for recapping this! I've been dying for someone to do this one and A Killer on Board. Awesome recap :)

I'm going to do "A Killer on Board" sometime soon. Ned is so terrible that I need to lay down for a few days before I revisit this storyline. :)

Oh! I can't wait - if I recall correctly, that's the one where Elizabeth GALLOPS A HORSE DOWN A MOUNTAIN CLIFF to get away from Marin. It's pretty awesome. Like your recap. :)

Thank you! Oh, yes, there is much equestrian abuse in the next book. I totally forgot about it until I re-read it. The insanity is baffling.

You totally need to buy this miniseries! It's absolutely wraught with Ned-eptitude. The insanity just never stops. I think Ned has the IQ of a snow pea.

What books exactly are in this miniseries? I stopped reading as much during the werewolf in London era.

It's just this book and the next one ("A Killer on Board"). They're those super thrillers that have "FEAR" written all over them.
