Elizabeth's Secret Diary, Volume 1

I found this diary to be a little more interesting than Jessica’ probably because I’m less familiar with the storylines. It does have the same flaws as Jessica’s diary, the plot is jumpy and disconnected. Also, when the kidnappings, near rapes and other shocking events are stretched between 15 books it seems a tiny bit more realistic. When crammed ( Read more... )

What makes her worse than Jess is that she doesn't own her bitchiness. She is Miss Perfect Saint of Sweet Valley but underneath she is a hypocritical undercover bitchiness.

Totally agree! I can't stand her next to Jess because she really rubs it in your face what a hypocrite she is. Although really both of them can be pretty awful human beings and its tough to say who is worse.

Yeah. I guess the ghostwriters figure she has to be The Good Twin and so excuse all her behaviour. Bah.

The girl begins the letter calling Todd “cute buns”. Ewwwwww.
Can't type...vomit...

Wait, Amy was Liz's friend? Even in SVT, she was Jess's mate.

Thanks for the recap. Off to vomit now ;-) Have a lovely day! :-)

Sorry to make you ill but I needed to share my pain.

According to the diary Liz and Amy were best friends in sixth grades and Amy was a tomboy. It wasn't suprise me if the writers screwed up though.

In SVT, Amy was Liz's best friend but Jess fought to keep her off the Booster squad, even though she made it in the end cos she was the best at baton twirling. Gag me now. Lol!!

Can we recap SVT here? Cos I don't have any of my SVH books left apart from the Prom Series and the one where the murderer escaps jail to seek revenge on Ned by killing his kids. Tho can do those if people want them...

omg, this has to be one of the snarkiest ones i have read so far. HILARIOUS! I especially love this part:

"Myself, if my dad accused me of attempted murder, I’d never speak to him again."

Love it!

And THIS is why I loved the Elizabeth secret diary so much; it just showed that she's NOT as saintly as she makes herself out to be.

What I remember most about this book is a scene with Ken and Elizabeth on the beach. It was surprisingly sexy for a Sweet Valley book. I loved it!
