Haruhi has been working for the Ouran Host Club over a year now, and she is sick of it. Small talk with ditzy girls, running errands for rich people, having to spend time with idiots like Tamaki, and worst of all the several thousand yen debt hanging over her head... She wants something to get her out of this - a winning lottery ticket, a school transfer, some boyfriend to get her out of this, anything!
Kyoya overhears this and politely offers to help. He announces to the club that he is in love with Haruhi and is going to rescue her from this den of sinners. She will be returned her girl's school uniform and her service in dating him will pay off her debt.
This is the absolute truth, but Haruhi believes Kyoya's explanation that he pities her and is willing to do it because the ensuing amusement will resolve her debts.
Obviously, shenanigans ensue - panties found in unsuspected places, friendships broken, the peculiar places in which Haruhi's panties keep turning up, advantages and disadvatages to different school uniforms, the Zuka Club, a very peculiar incident in which Hikaru and Kaoru attempt to lick honey off of Haruhi's naked body, and of course the very cliched ending in which somebody is going to Paris and they are convinced not to and there is kissing.
