Old Songs Bring Back Old Memories
Since I've been driving, I've been using an iTrip...plugging in my iPod in the car and playing songs off my playlist. I have a car playlist that plays some of the songs I listen to now...mostly Pump and DDR songs, and a little bit of the old stuff I used to listen to - Savage Garden, Duncan Sheik, Alanis Morrissette, Sheryl Crow, TLC, Brandy...and they bring back good memories...summer memories with friends...and of course singing along to these songs in my room. I almost guarantee that if you listen to any old song that you used to like when you were younger, you will have at least one memory attached to that song.
Anyways....about my life. I've been feeling a little bit better lately. Never went to see a doctor, even though I know I should anyways...I'll get the nerve to go one of these days. heh.
Ordered a camera on Friday, should be getting it sometime this week. I am getting the Canon Powershot SD 1100IS in the color Pink. It was a close call between Pink and Gold. I wanted to get the Blue one, but brianho already has that camera. I don't want to get mine mixed up with his, especially since we will probably end up going on another Cedar Point trip around Halloween time ^__^ I also don't want to appear to be a copycat, lol. I am impressed with the features it has though.
Got my tax refund in the mail today. I has 636 dolla dolla bills y'all! Awwww shiiiiiii-....I plan on depositing it tomorrow and then putting some of that money in a joint account...since Mike and I have that wedding thing to save up for ^__^
Today I went to Kay Jewelers, to get my engagement ring resized DOWN for like the third time. My fingers are shrinking. It was resized first because Mike got a ring that was way too big. I think that got sized down to a 5.5. It fits for a while, and then began to feel loose. So I got it resized to a 5. That size fit me for a while. Recently, it has felt loose again. Like, the ring would never stay straight and I could take it off effortlessly. So, I take it in today and they are resizing it down to a 4.5. I don't know my my fingers are shrinking, because I haven't lost a lot of weight as of recently. I've stayed about the same. Weeeeeeird. Anyways, my engagement ring should be ready on my birthday (April 15)! hooray!!!
In the meantime, I am being bad and replacing my engagement ring with my wedding band. I can't help it, I'm way too excited....also, there have been several people at my workplace that have asked me out on dates, and I figure that having some sort of ring on my finger will basically tell people to back the fuck off :P
Oh man...I am a magnet for creepy people who want to ask me out on a date. This one morning, I get assigned to attend to the Teacup ride. There was this cleaner guy using one of those big push machines that clean and polish the floors. As he came by me, I was going to tell him hello and ask him how he was. Before I could do so, the first thing that comes out of his mouth is, "Would you like to go on a date sometime?" I quickly replied, "I'm sorry, but I'm engaged." And he was just like, "Awww." kinda sadly. Then he said, "You're a very pretty girl." And I was just like "Uh, thanks.....(thinking: ok thnx bai ignored 4 life)" And this was like a guy that looked to be in his 30s at least....what if I were a HS student? I mean, that is just creepy. It's also creepy to ask someone on a date that you've never seen before in your life.
Going back to my orientation night, there was one of the trainees that asked me if I had a boyfriend...to which I replied, I have a fiancee...and he was like, "Oh shit, that's even worse!" Dear JESUS what is it with weird people asking me out?!?!
Ok, I should really get to bed soon. Been bad about the whole "getting to bed at a decent hour" thing. Peace.
