Oh hey guise! As you all have probably noticed, I'm bad at this whole online blog thing...but I am going to pretend that I'm a pro and write an entry anyways. So there :P
ANYWAYS, the weekend was pretty fun! Friday was Kylene's 21st birthday partay in Bloomington. She made 400 jello shots, WTF?!?! lol. I had a few. I'm not too big into drinking, unless it's wine. Hooray for being a wino..lol. I saw an old friend that I used to work with! I hadn't seen him in years, it happened to be a coincidence that he worked at the same place as Kylene now! We played Poker that night. Lady Luck wasn't with me that night, but I was feeling ancy anyways. Kara started playing "Tell Me" on her iPod and I had no choice but to get up and dance like the Asian girls in the music video. I WILL LEARN THAT CHOREOGRAPHY. That is all :D
The next morning, Mike and I ventured to Evansville, so Mike could do his taxes with his parents. We hung out with Joseph, one of Mike's friends, and he drew us a wonderful blueprint for what our wedding cake is going to look like:

It is going to be made of awesome and win. We also briefly stopped by Men's Warehouse and I think we have a good idea of what Mike and the groomsmen are going to wear. So hooray for a successful and productive trip to Evansville :)
We came home Sunday evening. And unfortunately that night caused trouble the next day. Mike drank some soy milk out of a dirty glass and woke up at 5am Monday morning feeling like shit. He tried going back to sleep, but it proved futile. He then woke me up around 8am complaining of stomach pains. I gave him a thermometer to take his temperature. It was over 99 degrees. So, I had work that morning at around 11am, but I wanted to go into work early, because I had a very busy week, and I couldn't afford to get sick. I stayed at work all day, since I had a double shift. I worked 11-2pm, and waited at Noodles until my second shift at 5:30. Well, more like 5:15 because this other guy didn't show up. Mike texted me during the day. Throughout the day, he threw up twice, and his fever escalated to 102 within the course of the day...more specifically, at one point during the day, his temp went from 100.5 to 102.3 within a matter of like an hour. We were pretty sure it was food poisoning from drinking out of a dirty glass...but there's a possibility it could have just been a random stomach flu as well...
Needless to say I was worried, and struggling at the same time of what to do. I had something going on everyday of the week, so I made a decision to stay the night at my friend Cheryl's house...or actually her cousin's house. I got to sleep on a very small couch. It was very uncomfy and I didn't sleep that well. Cheryl picked me up from work, and I stopped by Kroger to pick up Mike some things like ginger ale, peppermints, and saltine crackers. I also picked up a "Get Well Soon" card with a lolcat on it, in hopes to make the situation a little bit better :) So, I stayed the night at her cousins, who had two rambunctious little kids. That was fun too, because everything was child proof. Couldn't get in the fridge because that had some sort of kid lock on it...their bathroom door had a kid proof door handle, where you have to push in two sides of the doorknob very hard in order to enter. All and all the experience was somewhat frustrating.
So, Cheryl and her sister Ruthann and I hung out the next day...we had a bit of a girls day out :) They took me to my last day of work at Noodles at around 4:30 pm or so. Mike was feeling a lot better the next day, but part of me was still skeptical that maybe he was still contagious, so I was about to stay at Cheryl's another night. However, Cheryl told me that the next day was going to be pretty busy for her, so she said she would be willing to take me home to Mike after I got off work. So, all in all that was fine with me. I really did miss Mike, I was worried about him, we were keeping in contact through texting pretty much constantly. Mike helped me clean the apartment a little bit when I got home. We disinfected everything he might have touched. All in all it worked out. :)
So this was/is my busy week:
Past Monday: work 11am-2pm, then again from 5:30pm to 9:30pm
Yesterday: last day of work at Noodles 5:30pm-9:30pm
Today: First day of orientation at my new job, XScape, from 6pm-9pm
Tomorrow: Going with Tim to get him fitted in a tux and the right color vest at Men's Warehouse. Also, possibly going to XScape to talk with Andy to arrange more details about an upcoming Pump it Up tournament both Tim and I are hosting in June.
Friday: Taking my driver's test at around 2pm-ish. Wish me luck and beware drivers! I will be a drivin' after Friday!!! :D
So there you have it ladies and gents :)
