I freaking HATE computers
My cousin shows up at 7AM, computer in tow, telling me something was wrong with it and could I please fix it. So I took a look and she was infected with one of those stupid fake alarm trojans (Antivirus Pro 2009) and a bunch of other crap. I researched online and downloaded remover tools, etc., etc., and followed all the steps. Been working on the damned thing for nearly 7 hours now.
And the stupid remover tool won't work. One of the trojans is blocking it. I even tried renaming the files in case it keyed on the name, but no go.
Can't a bunch of countries band together and file a class action on these sites? Ones like the above that actually infect you and put popups on your machine so idiots go to their site and pay for their infection are nothing more than protection rackets. "Tsk, tsk. Nice computer ya got there, Bub. Sure hope nuttin;' bad happens to it.' har har har
And, stupid cousin! I tell her to keep her firewall on and to only DL from sites she knows and even then to always scan, and still this is always happening to her. She can't possibly be taking all the precautions or she'd never get infected this often.
Think I'm gonna wipe her computer and tell her to reload everything.
