100 Things Day 7: Wrong Turn (Rated R for strong violence and gore, some language and drug use)

WRONG TURN (2003) stars Eliza Dushku, Desmond Harrington, and Jeremy Sisto among others. Chris Flynn (Desmond Harrington) is driving to a new city for his new job, makes a wrong turn, and SMASH! Plows into a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road because of a flat tire. Jessie and her friends are out on a camping expedition. Since neither car is drivable now, part of the group sets off to find help. What they find instead is bone-chilling, blood-curdling, and mind-numbingly terrifying.

This movie is the exact reason that I refuse to step foot in West Virginia to this day. I'm absolutely terrified by the prospect of cannibal hillbillies. I have a very difficult time living where I do now thanks to this movie, but I love it. I just can't seem to walk away from this franchise no matter what.

Is it great cinema? Not really. Is it really all that scary? To you, maybe not. To me, oh yes, without a doubt. It's a guaranteed adrenaline rush for me. I can recommend this movie to any horror fan, especially those with a strong stomach. If you're squeamish about blood and... various other nasty things, you might want to stay away from it.
