Let's just get this started off right with one of my very favorite movies:

Warning for language under the cut.

ZOMBIELAND stars Woody Harrelson (Tallahassee), Jesse Eisenberg (Columbus), Emma Stone (Wichita), and Abigail Breslin (Little Rock). Oh, and a whole host of the undead. And Bill Murray. Bill Fucking Murray! I love this movie already!

The basic premise is that the world is quickly overrun by zombies - it all began when some dude at a gas station ate a bad (infected?) burger. The sickness spread and, next thing you know, we're down to a handful of survivors and a whole lot of zombies. Columbus, our main character, is trying to get back to his home in Ohio to see if his parents are still alive. He has a list of rules that help him to survive the Zombocalypse: Cardio, Double Tap, Wear Seatbelts, and my personal favorite

That, ladies and gentlemen, is Tallahassee. Tallahassee rocks! When Tallahassee goes Hulk on a zombie, he sets the standard for "not to be fucked with." (Not my line - that's actually a direct quote from the movie.) Tallahassee is the main #1 reason that I love this movie.

Columbus and Tallahassee meet up on the highway and set out to Ohio. Along the way, they meet up with Wichita and Little Rock, a pair of deceitful little con artists. The little band of survivors ends up nixing the Ohio idea, and instead embark on a search for a "zombie free" sanctuary, Pacific Playland.

And we can't forget Tallahassee's search for the elusive Twinkie.

I absolutely adore this movie. Woody Harrelson as Tallahassee is the main reason that I love this movie - the guy cracks me up! He's funny, he's irreverant, he says things that would never fly except in the Zombocalypse. But, deep down in there, he does have a heart. He has lost, just like everyone else in this film, and it does affect him. I'm not crazy about Columbus but he does have some good one-liners in there and he is quite amusing. Wichita and Little Rock, well, I was kinda rooting for them to get eaten but hey, you can't have everything.

The zombies are stellar. I'm not a "zombie purist" so I'm fussed by zombies who can run and climb - if you are, this movie probably isn't for you.

However, if you are down with some bad language, some kick-ass zombie kills, and 88 minutes of pure entertainment, then definitely give it a watch.
