"You have to help me! I can't bear to remember this!" The young woman dropped to her knees, clutching the hem of my skirts, franticly attempting to keep me from walking away.

I bent down, took her chin in my hand, and looked into her tear-filled eyes. "Why, child? Why are you so desperate to forget ( Read more... )

Powerful stuff. This would be a wonderful opener to a longer story! Loved it!

I have a bunch that are in desperate need of editing too. Too many stories, not nearly enough hours in the day!

God, there were so many typos in that comment. It should have read... "I hope you do but I understand. Have the makings of a story started myself somewhere but there is never the time to continue it.

The dog was bumping my arm as I typed. I didn't notice the typos at the time.

Yeah I am currently working on one original fic which might turn out to be novel length, but I have another short story on the go and a longer one that needs drastic editing. Not enough hours in the day!

*grin* Not a problem - I have cats so I understood what you were trying to say. They tend to bump my arm a lot when I type too :o)

I have ideas for a bunch of short fics but I never seem to have time to really work on them. I have to pick and choose between fics, graphics, and email sometimes. :(

I have a cat too but he keeps himself to himself. Not terribly sociable.

Same here! (Minus the graphics!) Then you have to add work, family, chores, shopping, other hobbies... sleep... I like to do that occasionally!

Yes! I like to sleep occasionally too! Just think how much we could get done if we DIDN'T need sleep :D

Yep, it's strange though. I often wake up in the early hours thinking about getting up and writing. I never wake up with the urge to go to work!

Hahahaha! Oddly enough, that never happens to me either... Wonder why that is? ;-)

Writing means being in my own little world. Going to work means interacting with the masses! Ugh...

*nods* Yep, that would be the why. *sigh*
