Not too long ago, I decided I wanted to do some of my True Blood-style reviews for The Walking Dead. Now that I have the DVDs, I figured I'd better get on that.

Under the cut, there are pics, spoilers, my opinions, random fangirling, etc. Click or not, the decision is up to you. I do want to warn dial-up users - this post is murder on bandwidth. I ( Read more... )

Oooo... look at all those pretty pics! I love how you put then together. Didn't get to say so before, since after we emailed, internet died. (That was bad!)

Great, great review! One thing though, I believe Morgan and Duane were squatting in that house (didn't you love that they had stocked up on toilet paper?) and it made me wonder all the more if some little bit of humanity remained in the Walkers if Morgan's wife followed them there. I need to watch that scene again to make certain, but that was the part that really made me question if the Walkers were as zombiefied as originally thought.

The opening scene blew me away. I could handle the kid deal. Mostly and mainly because it was a great way to let you know what you were in for. The horse on the other hand - eh, that was tough. I think the defining 'Love Rick Forever' moment is when he tracked down the Bicycle Girl and put her down.

I'm still torn about Lori, but I gotta tell you I trust Shane even less.

Love, love the way they ended this episode and I love the way you ended the review. This is fantastic!

Thank you sweetie! I'm so glad you liked it! :D Oh hell, hope your internets are better now!

Morgan and Duane were squatting in the house where they took Rick but Morgan told him that she died in the bed in the other room. I guess she got bitten en route or maybe while they were there, getting supplies or something.

Oh yeah, the bit where he tracked bicycle girl down to put her out of her misery was where I fell in love too. That was unbelievably sweet.

I don't trust Shane either - he's losing his grip big time!! That last episode, he was barely hanging on. I just hate how Lori treated Rick. She doesn't deserve him, IMO.

I loved that too - talk about the big picture!! O_O Thank you, love! Guts is up next! Mwahahaha!

Internet is working today (mostly), but didn't have time to change our journal to TWD, dang it!

I remember now! Thanks for untwisting that. I need to watch it again so I can keep up with you. I'm not working this weekend.:)

Lori - I keep thinking she was using Shane just to hold onto some kind of sanity in all that mess. Of course, no one is good enough for Rick - except us.:D

Heh... I started getting impressed with Rick in the first scene when he could walk in cowboy boots. I think there's an art to that. Some guys look awkward as hell. Nothing awkward about him.

Looking forward to the next one!

Aww :( I'm glad your internets are mostly working though! :D

I wouldn't have remembered that bit if I hadn't just watched it again.

She may very well have been using him for that. Or she could've just been hanging on to him because he was Rick's best friend. He's familiar to her, comforting, I guess. I hate to give her hell because I don't know what I'd do in that situation but still, she betrayed Rick. That's it for me. Hehe, you damn right about that ;D

There is that! And he can run in them. He's got a most excellent walk in those boots, just the right amount of swagger. And now I'm going to shut up before I start drooling over him again. ;P
