(no subject)
hey..
jess tells me i need to write in here more and she's right. okay sooo today was a short day and then me and ilima went over jess's for a MIGHTY feast. yum. and now i have lots of homework..just did my lab report but i dont think its right. myers family fun nite (haunted hallway and such) is tomorrow night.holler.
i've been liking my honors classes...but theres sometimes theres a big sense of eliteism (sp?) and its really annoying. also in world cultures we're learning about the israeli-palestinian conflict and everyones so biased. i mean of course there will be some bias but we're supposed to be learning objectively. i heard someone refer to israel as "us" or "we"...woodcock replied as who? the americans? at which point she realized that she didnt live in israel. thats just an example. i dont even think its necessarily a jewish-motivated bias i think its also just an american thing. it seems like people dont want to believe that israel ever did anything wrong though. and im not picking sides but of course they did both countries made mistakes and had varying leaders with different ideas of how "peace" should be established. its a complicated thing but i think that ultimately both countries want the same thing no matter who the land "really belongs to". ok sorry for that rant.
skipped swimming today.....oh well only pre-season. it really annoys me that theres a lot of clubs i cant do because of swimming. i think im doing ski and snowboard though...i've skied (sp?) but never snowboarded...jess has but not in a while and vija is reteaching her so i think i might do that.
