Attention... why do we need it? What do we get from it? Why must we hear our friends tell us how much they love and care for us to feel better? Don't sit there and deny it either because we all do it. I know I do it and you know you do it. What about those who do it more than others? What happened to them in their lives that forces them to believe they need attention? What can you do or say to trigger that? There are some people who need so much attention that they actually create drama in their lives. If they're bored or tired of the same routine, they do something chaotic or something they know they'll get in trouble for. There are some people who find it neccessary to only write when something has happened to them. There are some people who need constant reassurance. There are also some people who need to know that they're number one, and if they don't feel like they're number one they feel like number two... which in their mind is nothing. There are some people who do drugs and drink for attention. Isn't it strange how one single word can be used in hundreds of possibilities. Everything I just mentioned has to do with ATTENTION... Is there a way to live life without it? Will we ever be satisfied with ourselves? Will we ever be confident to know we're okay without our friends and the attention they feed us? Should we quit giving our friends the attention they desire? Should we force them to know where true happiness lies? Will they ever want to try it? Will their minds be opened up enough? I know that when I'm done writing this entry, I will be a different man in a new way. I'm going to be able to pin point when I'm crying out for attention or when someone else is. Maybe all of you should be more aware of the things you do and the way you do them... Change starts from the inside out...
