marcbethashley came today....four hours after they said they'd be here!
but it was ok, because my highly acclaimed shell-pasta-with-cream-and-broccoli was ready just two minutes before they walked in the door. i swear i'm turning into an italian: all i make is pasta, my guests are expected to have seconds and thirds, and there is always food left over for later.
and holy wow, i don't care WHAT you think, but little baby ashley is the cutest child i have ever seen! she is two and a half months old, and sooooooo darling. she's a total ham, too; when she realizes we're all watching her, she starts blowing bubbles and waving her arms and legs about and laughing. and of course marcbeth are practically perfect parents: totally calm and relaxed about everything baby-related, always playing with her and laughing. this is one of those special families, methinks.
and they're MY relatives!! well, i guess we can tell where all the cuteness and normalness went in the gene pool...the athletic, aesthetically pleasing, loving Savage family.
*sigh* i wouldn't mind being like beth someday. she's a cool banana.
