"this is the first time, please treat me favorably"

at the play last night, we met alumns from "the late fifties." they were in their 70s and married. they met at beloit. the man's frat went into another frat's house one night, stole all of their silverware and stuck them into the ground in front of middle college. they also used to bury broken dishes from commons in the indian mounds where the archaeology students were digging in those days. his frat got kicked off campus for trying to initiate a black student. he asked us why we weren't "kicking back" about the war. all we could say was "there's no draft." i was shamefully glad when the lights went down for the show to start. we don't have good excuses.

tante annie says that when i'm in ireland, she'll fly to anywhere in europe i want and i can meet her there. after the semester, ted and i are going to greece.

jim gannon might come to pocket lint's open mic on wednesday.
