Things and stuff and stuff and thingsssssssss

So, hello.

I had a nice weekend. The work week was very frustrating. I slept in quite late yesterday and then cleaned up the house and went to the store. We had Becky, Greg, Margaret, & Kevin over for dinner and games. We played Cards Against Humanity and some Kinect games. It was nice. Near the end they started watching Twitch TV and talking video games and I kind of zoned out. I've noticed that my fuse for social interaction has gotten shorter. I think it's just because I'm tired and I'm always thinking about work.

Slept in late again today and rolled around snuggling with Jon. I made egg sandwiches for brunch and we cleaned up from last night. Jon went to do laundry but there's something wrong with the dryer so now we have a pile of wet work clothes. >.< We'll have to hang-dry the important pieces I guess.

On Thursday we are skipping out of work to go up north to the trailer for Jon's birthday. I'm making a grocery list and planning meals and stuff. This will be the longest we've been up there in quite awhile.

Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away. We're hosting my parents, Kay, my paternal grandparents, Gary & Doris, and my aunt and 'uncle' (they're not married) from Georgia. Oof. Jon has agreed to tackle the turkey but I will be taking care of the rest of it. I need to get my grandma's peach pie recipe to make for Grandpa and Ralph because their birthdays are right around Thanksgiving too and it's their favorite pie.

Can't wait until Christmas. It looks like Kay will be coming to Green Bay with us! I'm going to make chocolate bark and granola for bunches of peripheral gifts. Not sure what the important people are getting. Normally I have a list started already!

Work is going fine. Like I mentioned, last week sucked. But overall it's ok. I like working for/with Steph. And the chef is super awesome and I wish that I had the relationship with my dad that I have with him. Well, not relationship but like ease of chit-chat. I think the three of us make a really good team.

I dunno what else. Jon is playing Skyrim and I am supposed to be finishing 200 pages of 'The Blind Watchmaker' because it was due at the library yesterday. I suppose I'd better go do that. I kind of want to bake too. I should make stuff for Jon's lunches, at least.

Yep.

work, ramble, life update blaaah
