(no subject)
The kids have been sleeping for about 15 minutes already. It's only 8:15p, and I'm amazed! That's virtually unheard of around here!
Christmas was good. We all got spoiled. I can't even BEGIN to list all the stuff that we got. We had Christmas at my Grandparents with all the family on the 24th, and I ended up with the flu that night so I didn't have the best time. I was feeling better the next day, and he had Christmas with Ben's family on the 25th. His brother, sister-in-law, niece, and nephew were able to come up from Missouri. We haven't seen them since March or April. Then on the 26th, we had Christmas with just my parents. I am SO glad that Christmas is done for a year... UGH!
I've been pretty productive the last few days. I've decided that my bedroom is going upstairs across the hallway from the kids', and the toyroom is going to be in our old bedroom. We're hoping that this will help with the clutter of toys that's always down here. It's going good so far. I don't think the kids have really brought anything out of that room! We are not upstairs yet. We have our bed out in the living room for the time being. We have to be a little innovative with our box spring because it's too wide to fit up the stairway so my step-dad's coming over this weekend to help us. I've gotten pretty much all the toys put together. Thank goodness tonight is trash/recycling night... Between me cleaning house and getting all the toys de-boxed, it looks like we're getting rid of everything we own on our curb! *lol*
My New Year wasn't that great. I ended up just going out with Tina. Ben and I were fighting, and he left. He just came home yesterday. We've decided that this is the last time. If it gets that bad again, we're both going to walk away. No questions. We're over. That's all I'm going to say about that situation.
Apollo started back to school yesterday. He was so antsy to get back. He loves school so much! He missed all of his buddies. *lol*
Raven had a few days right around Christmas where she was not pleasant to be around, but since then she has been wonderful. I still don't understand what puts her in those funks, but I'm so glad that the episodes are becoming further and farther between.
I start back to classes on the 19th. This last month has gone so quickly, but I'm anxious to get on with my 2nd year of college. I get to do all of my classes online this semester so I won't have to drive anywhere except for my proctored tests. That will be so much easier on me because I won't have to search for a sitter, I'll get to do my lessons on my time, and I won't be "wasting" so much gas. I'm going to have 6 classes though so I've really got to keep myself on track.
