(no subject)
class has been going well for me. i'm keeping up fairly well. i'm a little bit behind in my music class because it's surprisingly really boring. lots of articles to read, and i'm just not interested. otherwise, there's not much to say regarding class. i should be getting my student loan dispersement in the next two weeks. i'm excited to go buy new beds for the kids, and *maybe* a computer for me!
apollo is still loving school. although it's tough to get him up and started in the morning. he's not a morning person (just like me). *lol* right now they are learning about bears. the other day, apollo came home, and as usual, i asked him what he did that day. he goes, "tracy (his teacher)'s teddy bear snuck out last night, and we had to go on a bear hunt." TOO CUTE! she taped bear tracks all over the school, and the went on a bear hunt. and apollo told me that they found the teddy bear "in the big people's classroom". at the eh-k school, the elementary and high schools are attached. they are reading the "brown bear, brown bear" book, and i'm going to have to look for ours because i bought it when apollo was just born.
raven has been a true monster lately. i just don't know what to do with her, anymore. i'm pretty much a wreck when it comes to her lately. she's pushed every last one of my buttons.
ben was home from the 30th to the 2nd. it was nice to have him home for a few more days. we actually got a lot accomplished. he helped me take a bunch of old screens and windows across the street to my uncle's trailor. he offered to get rid of them for us because they're redoing laura's windows so they'll have hers to get rid of, too. then we picked up the yard a little. he removed the remaining tack strips that i couldn't get off the stairwell. then we just lounged. sunday, me, ben, the kids, my parents, tina, jason, their kids, and our friends, jamie, kenny, cody, and spencer all went to prairie rose lake for swimming, playing, and grilling. then on monday, laura and bryce had preston's belated 1st birthday party. it was a good time. he left around noon on tuesday.
i've been reading my book that i got in okoboji the last few days. it's "shadowfires" by dean kootz. it's pretty good. it's relaxing. i've always been the person that when they start reading a book, they can't put it down. (that doesn't go for textbooks, though! )
i really need to go on a diet. i feel disgusting. i putzed out like three times since the beginning of summer, and i'm afraid that i'm going to balloon this winter because i always get depressed in the winter. i think i'm going to put on my new bikini that i bought for when i was supposed to have lost the weight this summer, and do before, during, and after pictures.
anyways, that's about it for now. i really don't feel like writing, anymore, anyways. i want to go back to reading!
