Summary: Tonight, Sungmin will get his award after years of hard works being a singer. Kyuhyun should be there to watch the ceremony but the boy wasn't there. Sungmin keeps on smiling till after the award ceremony where he gets his surprise.
“The number you had dialed is not available,”
Sungmin huffed after he heard the tone from the other line. He is sitting alone in his bedroom and starts to feel grumpy after zillions of times he had tried to call his Kyuhyun. Tonight is a special night for him as he will be receiving an award that pays all his hard works for the past 13 years being a singer. He is happy with the upcoming event but deep in his heart he wants Kyuhyun to be there and see him on stage with the trophy in his hand.
“Sungmin, are you ready? The car is waiting outside,” said Eunhyuk, his best friend and also his manager. Sungmin looks at him and nods slowly while attempting to smile. Eunhyuk walks to him and squats in front of him.
“What’s wrong?” asked Eunhyuk lovingly.
“Nothing happen,” Sungmin placed a small smile.
“I knew you for a long time and I know you are in not good mood now. Tell me,”
“It’s Kyuhyun. He does not answer my calls,” sighed Sungmin. Eunhyuk stands up and placed his two hands on Sungmin’s shoulder.
“Maybe he is busy with his college assignments. You do know that now it is examination season at your boyfriend’s college,” said Eunhyuk with assurance.
“How did you know?” asked Sungmin with curiousity.
“For the past few weeks you have been whining about his examination week,” Eunhyuk looks at him directly with a glare but Sungmin giggles when he heard the answer.
“Ok, I’m sorry ok. Let’s go now. I want to bring back the trophy in my hand,” said Sungmin with a big smile. Eunhyuk and Sungmin walks out from the mansion and enters the car that has been waiting for them.
Kyuhyun hurriedly walks back to his dorm. Today is his unlucky day. He late for his last day of examination, some crazy fan girls are chasing after him because they want to date with the famous engineer student in the college and to make it worst his black berry phone cannot be used because the battery is dead. The moment he enters the dorm he quickly charges his black berry phone and he is surprised to see 20 miss calls from his bunny, Sungmin. Then he looks at the watch, it shows half past eight. ‘Shit!’ he cursed. He quickly takes his shower and wears black t-shirt with a pair of blue faded jeans. He grabs his white jacket that was given by his bunny and grabs a small pouch with a pink bunny shaped. He hurriedly walks out from the campus area and takes a taxi.
“Ahjusshi, take me to this address,” Kyuhyun gives a piece of paper to the taxi driver. After 30 minutes, Kyuhyun arrives at the destination and saw lots of cars and people at the place. He pays the taxi fare and walks slowly to the arena where he is going to meet his bunny.
“Sungmin-sshi, another five minutes,” said the director. Sungmin nods weakly. After the award ceremony, he did not see Kyuhyun and he feels disappointed. Eunhyuk sees his best friend and gives him a soothing rub behind his back.
“I’m sure, Kyuhyun is out there or in front of his television and watching you,” said Eunhyuk with a smile. Sungmin could only smiles a little and he straight up his body posture. He walks to the stage and gives a little speech. The crowd gives a loud applause to him and demands him to sing but Sungmin just shyly smile to the crowd. His eyes are still searching for any sign of Kyuhyun but he fails to notice Kyuhyun in the crowd. After the speech, he goes back the back stage and everyone is congratulating him for his award. Then suddenly he feels someone is hugging behind his back.
“Congratulations my bunny,” said a voice with a whisper at Sungmin’s ear. Sungmin gasped in surprise and face to the owner of the voice.
“Kyuhyunnie!” he screams in delight then he pulls Kyuhyun to more private room. Then Sungmin snaked his arm around Kyuhyun’s neck and gives him a kiss. Kyuhyun chuckles to see his lover’s reaction and kiss him back.
“Kyuhyunnie, I thought you had not come,” whined Sungmin.
“I’m sorry babe because today is my unfortunate day and to make it up for my bunny, here is something for your special day,” Sungmin looks at the present and he giggles. It is a hand crafted wooden rose.
“If I give you the real rose, the flower will be wilted and dies. So I decide to craft a wooden rose for you to show you that my love my for you will never fade even the time transcended,” explained Kyuhyun.
“Awww…Kyuhyunnie, thank you for this lovely gift,” said Sungmin while holding the flower.
Kyuhyun and Sungmin then walk out from the room with hand in hand. Eunhyuk sees them and smiles at the couple. The paparazzi are frantically trying to take a snap of the couple’s picture but the couple ignores the paparazzi as tonight is just between them.
“ I love you, Kyuhyunnie,” whispered Sungmin while Kyuhyun lovingly wraps his arm around Sungmin while walking to the ballroom and meet other guests.
