Welcome back. It's early November, actually.

I suppose. A bit out of sorts. I'm afraid I've been gone for six months.

...It's been a week, perhaps, here? Certainly no more than a fortnight, though this last week has felt infinitely longer, so I may be misremembering.

I'd never have stayed away so long, I just had no recollection of having been here.

That seems to happen sometimes, when people go away. Probably just as well.

It's a good thing you've got your memories back now, though. Some aren't so lucky.

How have things been here?

...Not good. I suppose you missed the revelation of the Admiral's usurper?

[19centconstable]

No, actually. I departed almost immediately after the Admiral was reinstated.

I do hope he's alright.

Ah, so you were here for all that. Sorry. The last week has really been quite a muddle; I blame the painkillers.

I hope so too. Things seem to be running normally again, at any rate. Perhaps we can hope for a relatively quiet month.

I expect I'll be in this stupid sling for another two weeks at least. I'm just glad it wasn't worse.

Paris would be lovely, but I'll take anywhere quiet and pleasant at this point.

Did you also attempt to open the CES with your shoulder?

Fell into a ditch whilst running from something that was trying to kill me, devour me, or violate me, possibly even in that order.

...I believe the devouring would have to come last. Because.

Ideally, yes, at least for one's own comfort. Best not dwelt upon. Most importantly, it's over.
