I do stand by my belief. What we're asking of people is very difficult. Someone may think they're prepared for it, but may not actually be, and another person may not know that they are.

Yes. But...Jesus doesn't want your soul to be damned, and if He saw in someone the possibility that they might still be saved, He would never just give up on them. Jesus isn't like that.
