Those movies are stupid and unrealistic. I wouldn't worry about the characters' feelings.

Romantic comedies are inherently... selfish stories. Every other character is just... kindling for the two lovers. They're not supposed to matter.

They're people who are showered with affection, but they didn't do anything to earn it. They just take it and then hurt people who care for them in pursuit of a fling. How is that not infuriating? [He may be speaking from some self loathing there, pffth.]

I've always thought that was a funny thing to call them. After all, the two bottom points aren't in love. So they're really more like love arrows.
