I wonder if I should be worried. I didn't honestly think this was *that* cracky (which m31andy initially suggested, if you'll recall), and I'm also not sure I see it as being particularly brave.

Oh, you know me, my threshold for what I'm willing to believe in certain characters has always been slightly skewed. Going around murdering innocent blonde girls to exorcise Test Card Girl from his life? Yeah, that's Sam. Crossdressing and masturbating in the men's loos at the station? Not so much.

No need to worry Janni, I don't think bravery was particularly called for! I think this is great - whether or not one thinks of it as cracky depends, I suspect, on how much time one has spent fantasising about 2006!Sam with his modern open-minded girlfriend.

Myself, I never fantasise about him with anyone but Gene, but you've completely convinced me that Gene would go for the purple number.

And I really really like the image of Gene in the last full para, surreptiously cupping Sam's bits (*wishes*). I can so see him having the confidence, the style and - excuse me - the balls, to do that.

You know, oddly, I hadn't really spent much time at all thinking about what Sam/Maya must have been like. It's one of those things where I only really think about it when it occurs to me, which is usually when it needs to pop up into something I'm writing. Such as here. Suddenly, I could TOTALLY PICTURE Maya dressing him up. It made total sense! XD

I'm glad you could visualise and enjoy. And yes, if we're slashing Sam and Gene, there's absolutely no question in my mind that Gene would have both the style and the balls to pull a move like that off. :D

I was just about to add to my post; I had to post and close in a big hurry just now, but OH has gone back out again!

I'd never thought about Sam in lacy knickers, or dresses or whatever, but I have always had this image of him in black stockings - maybe even fishnets - and a black lacy suspender belt framing his bits beautifully. Under the red cords.

It's really good! This sorta fic doesn't even vaguely shock me anymore - now I just read it and think 'Crack? Really?' because you've practically made it canon in my head. One day I'll put on my DVDs and be surprised to not see Sam walking around in a purple dress with stockings and killing people that resemble the TCG.

Personally, always thought Maya looked like the kinky sort.
