As I sit here, writing my third post of the day (that's absolutely insane, by the way) while watching "Pretty in Pink", I'm thinking about a really stupid question. If you had to choose from all of those great 80s movies who you would have a crush on, who would it be? I think I have made up my mind. I think I might have to go with Andrew McCarthy. Honestly, I love "Pretty in Pink", and he makes the movie. I think it's the smile. And those eyes. Also, by the end of the movie I feel really badly for him. He goes to the prom alone because his friends are douche bags. And he's the nice one! But I have to cheer at the end when he ends up with Molly Ringwald. Yay for Andrew McCarthy, and yay for these sappy, pathetic movies which make me feel like a loser. Yet I love them so!
