My first 18th Century Costume ....
My very first attempt at making an 18th Century Costume. It took me about 2 months, because I had to wait for some tools. But still ... I would say about 70-80% of this costume was sewn by hand. I used my thimble for the very first time sewing this project and what a god-send.
I was trying to be Madame de Pompadour for Halloween. It came close to the dress in the painting, but I had to stop when it came time to add the bows … it just didn't look right.
