sure enough, when I got home from the grocery store, the spider had set up camp again...
So I disconnected gently and politely his web with the blowtorch, again.
Let him or her sit on the patio a few moments, and then they were swept down onto the first floor (I live above the first floor,) and hopefully I'll never see them again. Odds are it might be back,
These particular spiders seem to come every other year or so, I don't remember them last year, but they were definitely here in years past. Orange legs with white spots, an orange behind (thorax), and unsure of what kind it is.
If I reckoned to guess, it escaped from a biowarfare laboratory... it looks super gnarly in that respect. But, hopefully it's just something average. Very fearless though, when approaching to sweep it gently away, it did not even move or raise its legs in that defensive warning pose spiders do, when a human hand was paused less than several inches away from it. You don't see that every day.
Blowtorch: 3 Spider: 0 Bites: 0 Human Fatality: 0 Spider Fatality: 0 (exoskeletons are tough and I was gentle.)
LOL.
