Happy Spring Training Day, everyone! As I've said before, Valentines' Day is one of my least favorite holidays (it's too fluffy, sappy and pink), but if it brings me my baseball team I ain't complaining. (Also, prospects. Since pitchers and catchers report today, good ol' Justin "CATS" Masterson should now be in camp!
According to SoxProspects.com, Mr. Clean got to camp early. Good boy, Justin.)
And this picture makes me very, very happy:

Oh, Jonathan, how we all missed you. I'm wearing your jersey today in honor of Spring Training, you know. (Random fact: I first picked up my Papelbon jersey because besides his obvious talent I also thought he had a really cool name. I mean, just say it out loud - Jonathan Papelbon. How awesome is that? It just rolls off the tongue.) And thank you for telling us that
you go hunting with Eli Manning! That gives me more material for any and all DSRL parodies I attempt in the future.
Speaking of DSRL, I have a feeling that the Jed Lowrie and Justin Masterson version of The Soup or whatever those short comics are may become a series. Next up - due to a suggestion from
piney61, they might take on Rick Rolling. (You know you want to see Masterson in a red pompadour wig.) There might also be a boy band-inspired spoof for which there will be some recruiting (think pretty outfielders...), a George Kottaras version of Robin Sparkles' Let's Go to the Mall, and even Aaron Bates' Party.
And let's not even get into Hansen Sings Hanson. That idea actually creeps me out a bit. In fact, let's just forget I even suggested it. Yeah.
EDIT: Just in case anyone was curious about Rick Rolling, it is defined as "linking to a Rick Astley video whilst claiming the link directs someone elsewhere." It's usually used with movie and video game previews, but I suppose you could do almost anything with it.
