Curse my attraction to keyboards!

Believe it or not, there are people out there like Dustin. I mean it. Read this, especially the bit further down about "Herbie." The guy has the same problem Thatcher does, which convinces me that he's more realistic than I initially thought he was.

Of course, I found this bit by Googling the phrase "Sometimes I just think funny things." I haven't watched Arthur in a few weeks, which is bad, so I need to do that sometime this week. Maybe I'll take some screencaps and post 'em here...well, I think I'd be the one to enjoy that, not you people, so maybe not. Tell me if you do want screencaps, though, and I'll try.

In other news, I doubt I'll be able to produce a report of the IndyCar race that's scheduled for today because I won't be able to watch the race. See, I was booked to go to something before I knew the racing schedule, so I'll probably miss the whole thing. I'll be at a concert today instead - for classical music. My brother's clarinet teacher has invited him to a concert that he's conducting, and I read the bill and got excited, so I'm going, too. It went something like this:

Brother: I don't want to go, Mom!

Mother: But you have to! It would be rude if you didn't!

Me: What is it? (reads the flyer) OOH! MENDELSSOHN! Let me come with you!

So, long story short, I'm missing an IRL race because of my clavier fetish. If I wasn't into pianos and organs and harpsichords so much, I'd be here watching Marco (and immensely enjoying it). But...well, there's no real way to explain the attraction I have to pianos. Actually, there is. I can say it in one word - Dudley. There.

EDIT: It turns out it was just a string orchestra. I missed Marco finishing fourth for a string orchestra without a piano. Argh!

Anyway, I've read the results of the race at St. Pete. Peter Parker Helio Castroneves won. Yay for him! Here are the top five:

1. Helio Castroneves
2. Scott Dixon
3. Tony Kanaan
4. Marco Andretti (who started second, by the way! See, I told you he was good!)
5. Dario Franchitti

Case in point: AGR is back. Their fourth member, Danica, came in tenth, if you're curious. Additionally, Hornish and Wheldon didn't do all that well (Hornish was ninth, Wheldon was eleventh) - perhaps street courses aren't their thing. (I would like to point out, though, that Marco's very good at road courses. After all, he got his first win at Infineon.)

...I'll stop now. It's not like I actually saw the whole race, although I read that Tony Kanaan made an amazing comeback run after he and Dario had a bit of an accident. I wish I'd thought to tape it.

EDIT 2: This is cute. It's Marco's report of his Formula One testing over in Spain. He actually wrote it himself, so the reader gets to get into his head a little bit. I love seeing him with his father and grandfather, too.
