I'm always late with my game updates, I know. I fail.
soprano_no_eiji and I were at Citi on Sunday. It's Tuesday already. Gah.
Anyways, here are my pictures from what was a nice game to be at despite the heat. Jon only gave up four hits in six innings, although he walked more people than he should have. He's still a much better pitcher than he's ever been before, though, and his confidence in himself is making him amazing.
We hit up the new Hall of Fame before the game.
It's set up a lot like Cooperstown plaque-wise...
Really blurry shot, but that's Bob Murphy, who was the voice of summer to my dad.
Keith Hernandez's Gold Glove.
Tom Seaver's Cy Young.
The jersey Endy Chavez wore when he made The Catch in 2006.
I like to think I'm artistic.
You can now text in messages before the game. I had to Slumberwood it up.
Jon!
Jon pitching to Joe Mauer.
Jon likes to think he can hit.
But he CAN control the running game!
Leg kick. Hee!
Ruben, who I want to adopt as my little brother.
He tied the streak!
Jon really doesn't know what to do when you point a camera at him.
Jason Bay after hit number 1,000! Congrats, JayBay!
Jon's mad baserunning skills. He got on with a walk.
Danny Valencia.
This chant started during the 2006 World Cup. It is now four years old. Wow.
I highly doubt Jon would use this nickname for himself.
Here is your gratuitous Bobby Parnell photo.
I think that's the second best home record in baseball right now (the Braves are first, I'm sure).
I only have space for three games left in my scorebook. This makes me sad.
