Let's speculate!

Alfredo Simon, the closer known at Camden Crazies as Shutdown Sauce, has a hamstring strain. This, of course, naturally makes me wonder who's on their way up from Norfolk to replace him. From what I'm seeing on Twitter, there's growing support for either Tillman or Arrieta to join the flock of baby Orioles pitchers in the Majors, which is pretty exciting. I know, at least, that we can rule out Brandon Erbe, Norfolk's starter today - he's really having a rough time in AAA right now and needs to right the ship.

On that note, Josh Thole has righted the ship and already has his average back up to around .250 by his work in the past three games or so alone. This makes me a happy puppy. Attaboy, Thols! Get things straightened out so you and Niese can finally be that battery I'm hoping you'll be!

Speaking of Niese, eight days to go before I get to see this again.

Hello there, Legs. I miss you.

Sox took two of three from the Phillies this weekend. I enjoy how the Sox always seem to play the Phillies the same weekend as the Subway Series, because then my two favorite teams can help each other out by beating the Phils and Yankees respectively. With the exception of Lackey on Friday, the pitching staff's really turning things around (Daisuke and Tek are a battery to die for, apparently), so I'm excited. And now that Jacoby's back and Cameron's on his way, all the cogs will be back in place. I just hope both Van Every and McDonald end up back in Pawtucket where they belong. Van Every has to clear wavers still. Nobody steal him, please.

Johan vs. CC tonight. So stoked.
