On Meoto

I am so tempted to come out of fanfiction retirement and write Meoto for the Oofuri kink meme. Just because fandom-wise Meoto is the one thing I still have stock in emotionally in Oofuri (it's not that I don't like Oofuri anymore - it's just that I've always loved the series for its depiction of baseball, not just the blatant slash).

Yeah, pretty much. I can never think linealy. Like, I'll be on the train, planning Matthew Bellamy and Dominic Howard's hypothetical wedding, and then suddenly "Ooh I like pandas!" and I'll think about pandas for five minutes before deciding that Dom should wear a dress with thin straps. And it's somehow all related. (This is a true story, btw. It happened on Friday.)

I kind of love it. I love when that happens to me - and it occasionally does - because it just feels more creative for some reason! (And ironically, I'm wearing a panda shirt right now.)

Okay, this comment is going to be choppy since I'm going to reply to the past 3 journal entries you've made. First, my mom and dad got married in 1986 too; I thought it was interesting, the coincidence. Not to mention, that Mets video gave me some good chucks! Second, HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY in advance! And third, you should SO write Meoto! It'll be like, giving yourself a present! I've actually wanted to try writing that prompt, I even made a few notes just now . . . but I don't think I could pull it off as well as you do~ Silly things, cracky things, and general things are the only things I can write without puking at my own work. SO GO FOR IT! I'LL CHEER FROM THE SIDELINES.

1. Seriously? I love it! It's a good year, isn't it? Parental marriages, birth year of my favorite non-fictional pitcher (Jon Niese)...

2. Eeee, thank you! I feel so old. It's this finality feeling, almost. It's really weird.

3. I really think I'm going to do it! I'm starting to get back into writing and whatnot and that just sort of dropped into my lap. I really, really want to write it...
