On Vintage Baseball

I just did some digging around, and it seems like there are very few women's or co-ed teams in the vintage baseball reenacting department out there. In that case, I think we should create our own so we get some more representation out there. Girls definitely did play in the 1860s and 1870s rather openly - just look at Vassar for proof.

(Photo of the 1876 Vassar Resolutes is from here.)

So who wants to start a team with me? It may be a few years before we can all get together and play, but we'll see how this goes.

Positions:
Pitcher: sheep_mambo
Catcher: This is the position I have the most experience at. If anyone else wants it, however, I'm willing to share or move!
First Base: mary_19
Second Base: cornerinfielder
Third Base:
Shortstop (the position was invented in the 1850s out of necessity): useyourlove
Outfield: blinding_voip
Outfield: xhereonearthx
Outfield:
Coaching Staff: horsecrazyliza

We can have multiple people at each position, too. After all, there's more than nine people on any good baseball team! So, is anyone with me?

history: 1860s baseball, baseball, history: reenacting, history
