I got it, I got it, it's really really true! I got it, I got it, I know just what to do!

Hooray, Tosei has eaten my life! Not that I care or anything.

The quest to get this hat done was a tad interesting, however. See, when I first attempted to initially purchase the hat I was going to use, I tried two different malls containing three different Lids stores total (living in northern New Jersey makes this incredibly possible), and none ( Read more... )

It's kind of epic fail that no place had the right font. But it still looks really awesome! I have never gotten anything to look that perfect with fabric paint. Ever.

It wasted my gas, nuuuu! I just filled up on Thursday, I think, or maybe Wednesday, and I'm already down to nearly half a tank. I am sad. (Okay, so a lot of that was trying to find a parking space on Friday, but...)

Ah, thanks! I used a really thin brush to do it - I was afraid I'd mess up if it wasn't like writing with a pencil or something...

Ahhh, that's so sad! Gas can be evil.

It came out really great. I've had many experiences trying to paint something and making a slight mistake which then I try to fix and make it worse (that actually happened with my Rikkai jersey...).

It can! It's too expensive...so if I use too much, then I can't buy as much Oofuri stuff (right now I'm in need of a specific style of jersey, high socks and a wig that I can gel into the right shape...and volume 11, if possible). And the check I got for taking care of the dogs was dated to August by mistake, so I can't cash it until next month! Grr.

I was seriously afraid I was going to do that...I had these ridiculously small amounts of paint on the brush because I was afraid it would smear, so it took way longer than it should have. (...I very stupidly did not buy the paint for the jersey when I was there. I should have. More gas, nuuu!)

Randomest aside -- do you think Jed Lowrie tries to come up with scientific methods or ideas to test out some sort of experiment(with Justin's power of persuasion of course) to test on other players....and how many times do you think Jacoby has had to step in to stop him? Or the older guys...because I have a mental imagery of him and Papelbon(with Masterson lurking by the side) Doing this experiment

...yeah, I can see him doing that. Now the scary part would be if Chris Carter has to come back up - if they're both around to run tests on people, they could get pretty complicated. And possibly dangerous (although Carter could at least use his mad doctor skills to heal the survivors!)...

I like the sparks, too. I like them lots.

Let's not forget Mossy whose STILL trying to come up with the perfect thing to make Carter smile. He has seriously considered dressing in drag for a night...but methinks his wife may be a LITTLE too weirded out...between Bill the Toaster and his obsession with making Carter smile...I think crossdressing when it's not rookie hazing or Halloween mayyy be the line for her.

Tito will make them perform SAFER experiments...basically anything involving fire and electricity is banned....unless extremely limited. Has not ruled out water or ice, which may or may not be a good thing. Papelbon is totally their test subject...though Manny likes to try to be too....except for the whole "Ortiz isn't back yet so it wouldn't be the best plan...and Papelbon is too stupid to realize the danger"

She probably thinks he's totally snapped by this point! I almost wonder if she's considering having him admitted to an insane asylum or something based on his recent behavior...all that time in the bigs must be causing him some serious trauma or something. Or at least that's what she can tell them when she gets the doctors in white coats to take a look at him.

I almost want to see Jed do something with dry ice. Or try to do the Diet Coke and Mentos thing in the clubhouse only to see it somehow go horribly wrong. ...If they are experimenting on Pap, it might explain a lot. Not everything, but a lot.

You absolutely NEED to see a catch Joco (okay, it was Jacoby) made in the ninth tonight. It was funny and weird and, most of all... slashtastic.

Is it web gem material? Because then it might turn up on Sportscenter tomorrow morning, at least...or at least on MLB.com. If it's slashtastic and funny, I'm totally in!

It was actually a very routine play. Just slashtastic. Let me just say (teaser here)--did they really need to stay like that for the few extra seconds? ;D My fantastic TV allows you to rewind and re-watch (and slow down, etc) what you've already seen--so I got some video and pictures on my camera, which I'll upload tomorrow (I seriously need sleep), but if TG or Ian gets video up, you just need to watch it. It is PRICELESS.
