And there was much rejoicing.

Today Jed Lowrie appeared on my television for the first time in months. And even though all he did was make some routine plays at third and fan (which I felt coming, because for whatever reason I seem to be able to predict the results of his at-bats, but only his), it still made my day. Missed you lots!

That was probably the most exciting moment of my day, for today absolutely nothing of note happened besides the Sox winning (with some awesome defense from the Pac-10 kids, I might add, especially Jacoby and Dustin). In the evening my kid brother and I helped my dad move stuff, so the Mets were on the radio, which saved us from having to hear Jon Miller say 'Bel-TRAN' instead of 'BEL-tran' fifty million times. It was much more pleasant than watching ESPN.

Oh, and the Sox are in first place again. During the Yankees series, I told my brother I wanted the Sox and the Yankees to split the four games so that the Yankees would have enough momentum to beat the Rays. In the meantime, the Sox would start winning again and get into first place by the All-Star break. The scary thing was that it actually happened - the Yankees did sweep the two games against the Rays, and the Rays proceeded to go on a long skid whilst the Sox won enough to just slip ahead in time. I didn't think it actually would - I'm stunned. But I'll take it!
