It's sad to think I've only been awake for eight hours today.

May 31, 2008 21:58

I normally get up at reasonably normal times, but for whatever reason I slept until two in the afternoon today. So no, nothing really got done. I spent most of my afternoon watching baseball-related things (as if by a coincidence, I turned on This Week in Baseball to see a feature on Daisuke Matsuzaka that focused on Yokohama High School, which ( Read more... )

See, that's the thing - I don't always sleep in late, but I enjoy staying up late - I'm usually up until 3:30-4 in the morning playing video games (because I'm a loser) and then I get up reasonably early to do stuff like work and whatnot. (Then again, once in a while I do need to take one day where I sleep late, because otherwise this could be bad for my health...)

If I had my way, I would sleep from 3AM to 3PM. I'm usually up writing things, or watching movies (since I can't really do that with a game on :P )
But on days like today when I have to work at 8AM *grumble grumble* I can't really do that :(

I guess I got really lucky when I inherited the 'can go on two hours of sleep' gene from my father, in that case...I don't really need much sleep, or at least I don't need much very often. (It really helps because I tend to be a workaholic and stay up doing stuff...)

Few things to note

I started writing up the prelude thingie of what set the whole fake wedding plans. It's mostly about Pauley and Moss right now. Speaking of Sunbeam, I think he's taking this mission really really far because he just hit 3 HRs in a game...and went back to back with Chris. So yeah that's worth noting. Oh and blinding_voip was at the Red Sox game!! *jellis*
That's all...and I feel ya. I didn't get up till 1:30(though I did wake up at 10am because my dog was annoying the shit out of me and then got loose when I finally let her out....imagine seeing a 20something in froggy pajama pants, an oversized David Ortiz shirt and sneakers running towards a dog w/ a box of dog biscuits and a leash....yeah, not my favoritest morning.

He did? Ooh, nice, go Sunbeam! I guess since that strategy worked for Georgie...hmmmm. ...SHE WAS? SHE SAW MANNY? WOW. (is jealous too!)

Oh, geez, it's awkward when the animals get out...I've had to chase one of my cats around the yard at least twice since I've been home, because as soon as the weather's nice they all try to get out (and sometimes succeed)! It's definitely not fun...

The question remains if Brandon was successful in making Chris smile...I think that Chris is gonna probably play it serious to see Brandon get all mad liek "OH COME ON! HE HITS ONE FOR YOU AND HE GETS A SMILE AND A WINK AND I GO AND HIT THREE AND YOU ARE STILL UNIMPRESSED?! WHAT THE HELL, MAN WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO? HIT A HOMERUN USING A FUCKING DUCK?!" and then he'll pout and eventually crack up because of the ridiculousness of himself. Oh and Clay was activated and optioned to Pawtucket. So that's fun too. They're gonna need someone to distract Clay from the plans. Brandon should be kinda useful here.

My dog Mavis is a little brat sometimes, but I think a lot of it was her being afraid of the thunder and trying to run away from it. But seriously this was the first Saturday I've had off in forever and I wanted to sleep in.

At least today looked a lot better! I'm relieved, to be honest...I kept checking ESPN for the scores the entire day because I was nervous!

I usually stay up until anywhere between midnight and 3 AM, no matter if it's a weekday or a weekend. I wake up at 6:30 on weekdays and anywhere between 9 and 1 on weekends. So my sleep pattern varies pretty greatly.

Also, I love watching little league! The league around here pretty much sucks, but I love watching kids my age and even younger play.

Also also, MANNY!

In school, I'm usually up until one or so...I like getting up at least two hours before I go to class, so I try to get enough sleep. At home, though, anything goes...I'm regularly up until 4 because, well, if there's nothing to do the next day...

Little kids playing baseball - especially outside of leagues - is honestly one of the purest expressions of the game out there. I think it's beautiful...and really cute when they're in kindergarten hitting off a tee. (Our league uses minor league affiliates instead of big clubs on the shirts, too, which warms my heart.)

It was so nice to come home to the news that Manny had done it! I was so excited!

I'm notorious for staying up late and waking up late. (I probably won't wake up until noon tomorrow).

Yay, Manny!

I love staying up late, but I tend to get up early...I think it's because I like trying to get as much done as I can and I can't do that when I'm asleep. I'm too obsessive-compulsive for my own good, because I tend to get sick when I work too much!
