The Return of Sunbeam

May 24, 2008 23:20

Sunbeam returns to Pawtucket! Normally this would be a bit of a roster issue, but Julian Tavarez changed his mind about his contract and asked for free agency, which he was granted.

My guess is that Tavarez pops up in Colorado soon. They were interested in him, after all...

And just because I need to breathe a huge sigh of relief, considering that this game against the A's has not been all that fun (I have had it on the radio as I have done various important things, like finishing unpacking my car two weeks after coming home from school for the year), Jed's "undisclosed injury" was a mere jamming of the wrist. I have had this happen to myself (volleyball in gym class in high school), and it's easy to recover from. Jed should be fine in a few days. One wonders how he did it, though, but the good news is that it's not a serious injury. That had me really worried...

The weekly Pac-10 update has been postponed to later this weekend, simply because the college regular season ends then. (What I do know is this - Slumberwood won its conference and is going to the regionals! But Slumberwood is also fictional, so it is going to the fictional regionals, and if it wins those and the fictional super regionals it has a shot at winning the 2008 Fictional College World Series in Fictional Omaha, Nebraska.)

No, I do not live in reality. I know this. I have a fictional Japanese high school second baseman as a homeboy. But I guess sometimes it's okay to be escapist, especially when real life isn't that great.

And extra-especially when your team gets one-hit.
