things i'm doing this afternoon:
1. cooking tzimmes for dinner, because we have yams, canned pineapples, carrots, and orange juice sitting around.
2. homework: two articles (the secretary of the woman's national policy, the exile debates), the rest of animal farm, three chapters of la casa de los espiritus (the house of the spirits--has anyone seen the meryl streep adaptation?)
3. remove ass from couch, walk dogs.
4. study russian alphabet. (on this note: saw the sweetest little girls yesterday, speaking russian with their mother. they had worksheets with sentence completions on them, and were sitting on the ground, propped up against metal chairs and doodling while their mother scolded them to fill in the blanks. it was absolutely adorable.)
