Naked Lunch is the only book I could never finish. No matter how hard I tried I had to just stop reading it!

To be honest, I've only read about the first fifteen pages so far - it made my head hurt. And then I got distracted with Kerouac, but I'm sure I'll go back to Naked Lunch - and finish it, goddamnit, because I hear most everyone just can't get through it and I'm determined to do so!

Haha, understandable!! Hopefully it gets better the deeper I get into the book. I'll definitely let you know if it's something you want to stick it out with, or if it really is just a complete novel of gibberish.

Haha, it was such a task to get that damn photo - people were charging for photos in front of that big thing, so I gave Jimmy the camera and was like, "OKAY I'M GONNA JUMP IN FRONT OF IT AND YOU HAVE TO SNAP IT AND THEN WE HAVE TO RUN FAST, OKAY?!" And so we did, and it worked out perfectly - we booked like hell away from the people running it, lmao.

And that's the most UN-GANGSTA POSE EVER, and that's why I love it. :D (The bullet holes, the bullet holes!)

♥!!

I really like the last flower picture. Also, David Sedaris maks me laugh like no other! Out of curiosity, did you screenprint those pillow cases yourself?

:D I liked that one too... believe it or not, I never messed with brightness/contrast once! My camera's got this sweet feature called "Vivid Color," it's my favorite to shoot stuff like flowers and big green trees and anything bright in. (My eyes come out pretty damn cool using it, too!!)

Nothin' beats Me Talk Pretty One Day - that had me rolling in tears.

And I wish! That's definitely something I want to learn... I've got tons of stencils and such to make my own t-shirts, but I've never quite gotten around to buying materials.

Those pillows = courtesy of Target's clearance rack. ♥

Do you do screen printing? Do you know of any great websites I could use as references when I start making my own stuff, like with instructions and tricks and such?

You know, since you posted this, I looked for that on my camera & I have one too. I've never used it, but maybe I should bc yeah, the color turned out beautifully! It also doesn't hurt though, that you're good with a camera! :)
What other Sedaris can you suggest? I've read Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, & Dress your family in Corduroy & Denim- what's another one you'd suggest?I've heard Holidays on Ice is good...

Target clearance, eh? I really would never have thought so! I need to check Target's home stuff out more often, and Clearance never hurts.

As for screenprinting, I WISH I knew how to- it's on my "to learn" list, but I have not a clue where to start. I'm sorry, but I'll be of no help in that department. :p

You know, I've actually never read Holidays on Ice. I've read what you've read, really.. except a couple essays here and there. His essays are pretty great though, you can goodle those..

I love Target in general. Clearance Target? YES.

Haha, well, whichever one of us gets around to it first, gotta clue the other one in! ;)
