Haters Gonna Hate
I’m probably going to be seen as a terrible person for saying this, but I really don’t care about this Kony2012 thing. It’s not that I don’t think it’s bad. I do. It’s not that I don’t support the people who want to change it. I do. But I would much rather focus my energy on helping the people right outside my apartment sitting on the street homeless, possibly addicted to drugs, or suffering from an illness/mental illness. Good for you if you want to spread the message. But really, I just don’t particularly care about it.
No one cared about it before. And this will go on for a few weeks, nothing will probably change, and everyone will go back to not caring. Until someone brings up something else, and they’ll want to seem like a social activist once again. And then they’ll stop caring.
I sound extremely conservative right now. Yeesh.
