Right, okay. I think this needs to be discussed.

Vatheon is a city in which there is no economy. There is no free market which upsets me quite a lot. Sure, some would say something along the lines of "well it makes for a more peaceful city" yadda yadda.

I don't like it.

I like a world where people can decide what exactly makes them rich, poor, or anything in between. What exactly makes them worth something or not. What exactly makes them them.

Capitalism has it's charm, I assure you.

So this is what I'm thinking. I think we should start our own economy, if only for something to do. We have the StarFish Tokens and while this little play money is cute, I need something of more standards.

Like I said, I want us to start our own economy. By doing that, we need goods. There's lots of buildings around here that can be converted into stores -- we can make a small little community of stores run by us, foreigners, and just use it to our advantage. I also know there's a lot of people here who know how to make stuff.

It's simple, people start shops, people trade things for other things, after a while there will be certain limits on goods. It becomes a market, it becomes a place where people can put that sort of bartering mind set to work.

It becomes something to do instead of continuing to sit on our lazy asses and let the locals feed us with a gold spoon.

So, opinions?

-text, ... in america!, *ic, this is inherently russia's fault, the united states of vatheon, god damn communists
