Oh my, I love Kitty, so I adored this from the beginning -- she is so clever and resourceful. I loved the way she got out of her Rapunzel dilemma, and especially how she convinced the farmer she was a kind of little match girl ghost. And then she found her Lockheed, and I just dissolved in love.
Wonderful work!
Great job with Enrique too, and I appreciated the way you worked in Kitty's Jewish heritage. I felt really bad for her parents, too, who probably thought they were doing the best thing.
Kitty's parents have a tendency to get Kitty in trouble while trying to do what's best for her: they decide to get divorced while she's away at school, enroll her in Emma Frost's school, and get involved with criminals who end up controlling Kitty with evil Ninja powers. Agreeing to let the Inquisition take her didn't seem like too much of a stretch.
Well, from that point of view, Phoenix deciding to brainwash them doesn't seem so bad -- I suppose to follow continuity, the elder Pryde will have to perish in a large scale massacre?
This was great! I loved Kitty's resourcefulness and plain cunning - working out how to use her powers to escape the tower, convincing the farmer she was a ghost, stowing away! And Lockheed guest starring as himself! I know she has a hard journey in front of her, but I'm glad Katia will not be alone.
Lockheed! Oh wow! This was epic and smart. Kitty was so determined and clever - I loved all the things she did to survive, and the epic sea voyage, and Lockheed!

Kitty should always have a Lockheed.
