[OT from cottage renovations]
one of the indoor/outdoor seasonal migrants around here is a spider plant that winters in the bathroom skylight and summers on the porch. on Christmas morning it decided, for whatever reasons spider plants might have, to come into bloom.
the floral display might be considered modest by some but this is not a week when it has much in the way of competition.
