the air temperature hovered around the freezing mark most of the day but finally worked its way higher in the afternoon, with some help from the full sun coming down through a clear sky.
the signs of seasonal change are there if one looks: it may be too cold for anything else to come into bloom, but there's more to it than that.

meanwhile, back in the park, the martin house is being perched on by this little one: those feathers are keeping it warm enough to disregard the icicles coming down from the split PVC pipe roof tiles.
