I love them! In fact, lately I've seen a bunch from PS and not both ps/psp that I've wanted, but couldn't have. I'm still new to the whole adding a layer thing (for texture, such as YOUR icon), so maybe they're wasted on me. LOL. Wanna teach me? :-D
I have both, actually. I don't think they're dissimilar. Ya know, it might not be a *bad* idea to invest some time in reading the book. LOL :D Gah. I'm sure masks are the same...or would assume. Hm.
I have PSP8, so I'll try to help, if it's not too late :)
Open the contact sheet in PSP, and use you selection tool to select one image from the sheet. Go to File --> Export -->Export Brushes
Name your brush something, and hit okay. It should be available with the rest of your brushes.
Or you could use the selection tool, selct the image you want to use and copy it. Then on the image you wish to use it on, select 'paste as a new layer'. You can then play with the opacity, and the layer type to blend it the way you like.
Um...now that you've helped with that, where did you get your text brushes? There seems to be scant text brushes for PSP users on *all* these sites. *sob* I'm afraid I'll have to invent my own. LOL :)
I use image packs only, but if you check the user info of jaded_icons you'll see a list of people I've dl'ed text brushes from. I recomend brokenicon, meleada, and whitetomb. I use meleada's brushes in almost every icon I've made. 100x100_brushes is also a good place to go, be sure to check their memories.
Ahhh okay. I'll definitely add whitetomb and jaded_icons to my list and check out your friend :) I already have 100x100 (and have searched their memories). Some of the "sayings" are just...not me. LOL. So it's hard to find appropriate ones to suit my personality (which is why I think I should start creating them ;D).
Grrrr. I have PSP9, and it's telling me it's unable to import, because you're using a "new version of PSP."
O_o I thought 9 was the new version. LOL :)

I made them in PS.
Hmm. You can use the contact sheet and make from that?
I'm sorry!
