Jan 15, 2011 21:05

Okay, since I've heard the new header disappointed some because there's no Romano in it, implying again Rome favoured Veneziano, let's go check real world history and see how it would fit in Hetalia canon. Also, since we’re at it let’s see a bit of Rome’s history, if we can discover when the Italys had birth and which was their relation with Rome ( Read more... )

chara: vatican city, chara: italy (north) veneziano, chara: seborga, chara: roma antiqua, fan: essay, chara: italy (south) romano

It can be. I don't really remember if Himaruya said something about the Byzantine Empire... though it makes sense if it were Greece... Undoubtely Rome loved her much mroe than anyone else...
yeah, me too, I can't remember if it's something Himaruya actually wrote (and then got deleted) or if it's just related to Japanese fandom! *__*

I LOVE to consider Jiji surrounded by his harem made of ancient mamas: Greece, Egypt, Hiberia, Gallia...

let's start with:
Roman History according to Giuliana >3>
Plot:
uhm, basically after having a fling with Sabina, the young and poor Roma married the wealthy and older Etruria, but at one point he fell in love with his wife's friend, mama Greece(Etrurians and Greeks shared economical connections). So Roma decided to conquer her: he tried to lure Greece's daughter onto his side, Magna Graecia. [come insegna il corvo Geremia da Brisby e il segreto del nihm: le ragazze vanno pazze per chi ci sa fare con i bambini X'D]
But the young Greek nation didn't appreciate Roma's effort

just longer and curlier hair and you'll have my Magna Graecia XD I think Romano looks like his mother ^3^

The young lady insulted, headbutted and tried to kick Roma off, just like how his son would act in the future XD

So, not only Roma had to deal with that problematic kid [direbbe il caro Dino Cavallone], mama Greece didn't look impressed AT ALL, moreover Carthage tried to meddle into Jiji's affairs. The sly and lolicon? Punic tried to snatch both Magna Graecia AND Hiberia! How could Roma could bear this situation!? HE was supposed to be the one and only Mediterranean latin lover, not some crafty and stingy Phoenician (yes, Carthaginians were known for being stingy: war was very expensive, so they started wars only if they were absolutely sure they were going to win...)!!
Like Magna Graecia, the more mature and belligerant Hiberia didn't really like Roma: she hoped those two idiots would eliminate each other...

Same here! I so wish we had more of ancient history time! Really just the talk between Rome and Germania was nowhere near enough.

LOL I like this plot! You tempt me to turn it in strips!

Well, I think Romano looks more like Rome than Veneziano but he could have taken his temper by his mama...

LOL! Though I thought Rome and Carthage were friends in the beginning... but I can see them very well arguing for womens... ah, boys never change...

ROTFL Nobody likes Rome! Though I doubt he notices!
