there were a bunch of bands i wanted to see badly but didn't (the shivers, explode into colors, wooden birds, tara jane o'neil, ad nauseam). i always get tired and sniffly really early on and become the worst show-attender ever, and lo and behold that's what happened. i'm really looking forward to the next eleven months, when i will almost never have to choose between seeing a good show and seeing another good show.
one quick note - everybody out there who doesn't live in austin, please take any sxsw-related impression you get of my town with a boulder-sized grain of salt (even if it's your own firsthand impression). to my internet friends in lj land, please remember that i'm always here for a place to sleep, some driving around, and townie knowledge if you do want to come for the festival sometime. just also remember that i'd love to have you at some other time just as much, if not more.
well, that's over. now we can resume enjoying 70-80 degree weather and looking forward to when schlitterbahn opens.
